Stress has become a consistent feature of life for most people in the modern world. A new virtual reality (VR) experience promises the ability to step outside of stress filled existence for a time and enter a new world.
LUMEN a is a virtual reality experience which allows you to explore a bioluminescent forest. At the same time this VR experience is firmly grounded in the principles of wellness. The experience begins with breathing exercises before the user is invited to plant and grow trees.
LUMEN is the first VR experience for Life VR developed by Time Inc. Life VR is a 360-degree and virtual reality app that works with both Android and iOS devices. LUMEN was developed by Stanford research scientist Walter Greenleaf. Green leaf has a background in developing medical applications in VR.
Life VR has stated that it will produce at least one VR experience for the new app every month. Following on LUMEN is “Defying the Nazis” which will accompany the Ken Burns PBS documentary and “Fast Ride” which gives the experience of driving a Mazda 787 sports car.
